Close to Nottingham's
western ringroad, HMS SHERWOOD serves the East Midlands providing
training for 162 reservists every Tuesday night.

BRIEF
HISTORY
First established in 1949 and finally settled in Carrington Street
above RN Recruiting Office in 1954, HMS SHERWOOD was commissioned
in 1984 and transferred to its current location in 1986. The previous
HMS SHERWOOD was a Town Class destroyer - ex USS RODGERS - which
was launched in 1919 and handed over to the Royal Navy as part of
the "Lease Lend" arrangements in 1940. She paid off in
1943.

ex-Royal Navy, male or female and physically fit, and would like

The MOD is introducing
a policy of routine notification of reserve service to civilian
employers. With effect from 1 July 2001, you will be required to
provide full details of your employer on joining the reserve forces
and you will then be expected to inform them of your reserve liability.
