Exercise
'Executive Stretch' provides a unique leadership
and teamwork training opportunity for civilian managers.
It is sponsored by SaBRE – the MOD campaign set up
to support employers of Reservists and encourage stronger
links with them – and run by Reservists themselves.
It’s designed to be demanding. It’s designed
to be fun. But, above all, it’s designed to give participants
an experience that will be both informative and invaluable.
The programme involves a variety of stimulating challenges
designed to develop mental agility, leadership
and motivational skills.
Participants will experience the type of personal development, team
building and leadership trainingundertaken
by members of the Reserve Forces.
On Executive Stretch, challenges come thick and fast. Quick thinking and decision-making are
essential if teams are to complete their tasks and meet objectives within the
time limits set.
The exercise is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence, enabling companies
to experience the Armed Forces’ world class training at a heavily discounted
price. Individual places cost £200 each.
The event is held over a weekend at a military training area in Nottinghamshire.
Participants assemble on Friday evening and the exercise ends with an award
ceremony and Sunday lunch to which employers of the participants will be invited.
Taking part in the 2006 exercise, Gaynor Delaney of Nottinghamshire healthcare
NHS Trust said “I found the Exercise to be extremely useful, there
were definitely several learning points that I was able to take away. My first
encounter with the military was an extremely enjoyable and informative one.” |
