Under chemical attack
In addition to keeping our Signals Skills on top form, we also develop our military expertise. This picture shows a section coming under a Chemical attack and attempting to find cover.

46th (City of Derby) Signal Squadron (Volunteers) provide Close Support Information and Communications Systems to a wide range of users. The equipment used includes long-range HF Radio, Data Communications and IT systems and is operated both in the UK and overseas.

The Squadron is equipped with state of the art communications equipment. Its role is to provide a vital part of a national communications network. The unit can also be called upon to assist the civilian emergency services, such as during floods and other such disasters. We exercise abroad frequently and there are plenty of opportunities for foreign travel and adventurous activities.
